Effects Lead

Responsibilities:

As the Effects Lead for Stowaway, I was responsible for the delivery of all environmental FX including particles, RBD destruction, and pyro/water.  I assigned various FX to junior artists and regularly met with and assisted artists to find creative solutions to problems they encountered while working on their FX assignments.  As part of my responsibilities, I regularly held FX dailies to ensure that FX was progressing according to schedule.

Cenote.jpg

Effects Artist

Responsibilities:

As one of the effects artists for Cenote, I was mainly responsible for the portal FX (red and yellow) and the water particulate FX.  In addition, I was brought back midway through the project to fix the water FX for several shots in one of the sequences.  I also was brought back onto the project towards the end of production to help finish FX for the latter half of the film.  The FX I was responsible for during the latter half of the film was the magic hand FX sequences as well as the disintegration and reintegration FX.  During that time, I acted as an FX Lead to finish the film and regularly assigned out FX assignments to junior artists to aid in finishing the film.

(Cenote is currently nominated for a Student Emmy award.  Since it is still running through the awards circuit, the link to the film is not available to ensure that competition rules are not violated.  If you would like to watch the film, please contact me for details on how to watch it.)
